Day 1: Arrival in Cairo
Day 2: Pyramids of Giza and Grand Egyptian Museum
Day 3: Cairo
Day 4: Cairo – Luxor
Day 5: Luxor – Hurghada
Day 6: Hurghada
Day 7: Hurghada
Day 8: Hurghada – Cairo
This circuit begins in Cairo, as most international flights arrive here. At the airport terminal, a representative of our agency will be waiting to welcome you and help you with the final visa procedures, if necessary.
Once this point is resolved, we will transfer you in a private vehicle to the hotel, located in a central location in the capital. Upon arrival, check-in will take place and a brief informative briefing on this circuit with the Cairo – Luxor – Hurghada route: we will give you practical advice and resolve all doubts about the currency, communications and any other aspect.
If the schedules allow, there will be free time for a first contact with the country and with Cairo, before spending the first night in the hotel.
With your energies well charged after resting from the trip and enjoying a full breakfast at the hotel, it is time to start the tourist visits in Egypt. And the first of these is one of the most awaited by any traveler: the Giza necropolis, to which we will travel in a private vehicle with our guide.
Already in this great archaeological site, we will learn in depth about the three Pyramids: the Pyramid of Cheops, the Pyramid of Khafre and the Pyramid of Menkaure, whose names refer to the pharaohs of the IV dynasty who ordered them to be built to house their tomb. They were built about 4,500 years ago, as was the other symbol of the necropolis: the Great Sphinx. Our guide will also explain the meaning of all these monuments and other spaces of the necropolis.
After getting to know the Giza necropolis in depth, we will move to the Grand Egyptian Museum, built a very short distance from the Pyramids. In fact, from its interior staircase you can glimpse them in the distance. The interest of this enormous enclosure (the largest in the world in the archeology sector) lies in the importance, beauty and symbolism of the pieces exhibited. For example, the famous gold mask of Tutankhamun. Or the Stele of Restoration promoted by that same pharaoh. Or the enormous solar boat of Cheops, which perhaps transported his tomb on the way to his Pyramid and would also have to take him on his travels through the Afterlife.
On this day, lunch will be taken at a local restaurant, which will offer the ideal menu to replenish the energies spent on this spectacular route. And in the afternoon, we will return to Cairo so that you can spend the last section of the day in this city before resting in the same hotel as the night before.
On this circuit that runs through Cairo, Luxor and Hurghada, the award for the most lively, dynamic and bustling city goes to the country’s capital. Therefore, it is worth spending a full day discovering its secrets with our guide, after having breakfast at the hotel.
The first section of the morning will be devoted to the Citadel of Saladin: named after its promoter, the Ayyubid leader of the 12th century, it houses imposing historical constructions inside. The most important, the Mosque of Alabaster, which we will visit as it deserves, as it is open to tourists of all religions. The prayer room, the tomb of Mehmet Ali or the Clock Tower stand out as prominent elements of this refined Islamic temple.
After visiting the Egyptian Museum, it will be the turn of the current city, although without losing sight of its past: in the Islamic Quarter, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, we find mosques built centuries ago that show us all the splendor of the Arab civilization since its arrival in the mid-7th century. Special mention deserves the Jan el-Jalili bazaar, a large medieval popular market that is still in full operation today and is considered one of the largest in the Muslim world.
Further south is another neighborhood of great interest: the Coptic Quarter, with churches and museums that attest to the first steps of Coptic Christianity in the city. For example, with the church of George. In addition, we will complete our knowledge of Coptic Christianity with a visit to the spectacular Church of the Cave.
Like the previous day, this is one of the most intense days of this circuit, so lunch will be taken in a local restaurant in the heart of the city. And at night, you will sleep for the last time in your hotel in Cairo: Luxor and Hurghada, in the following days, will be the next destinations on your roadmap.
Between Hurghada (end of the circuit) and Cairo (its beginning), Luxor occupies a fundamental place in this circuit. On this fourth day you will travel to this city of Upper Egypt, not without first having the corresponding breakfast and checking out at the hotel in Cairo. After that, our driver will transfer you to the airport of the capital to, from there, fly to Luxor.
At the airport of this city, other professionals from our agency will pick you up to transfer you directly to the monuments of this day: those located on the eastern bank of Luxor, a modern city that sits on ancient Thebes, capital of the kingdom of the pharaohs in times of the Middle Kingdom and, above all, of the New Kingdom. In addition, it was the seat of the important and influential Clergy of Amun.
We will discover it and understand it in the majestic temple of Luxor and in the immense enclosure of Karnak, the largest religious complex in all of Ancient Egypt. Both are connected by the famous Avenue of the Sphinxes, more than 2 km long, recently restored to restore its splendor. A splendor that is also easy to appreciate in the pylons and the obelisk of the temple of Luxor or in the moving Great Hypostyle Hall of Karnak.
After delighting ourselves with both complexes, we will check in at the hotel in the afternoon, where you will have dinner and spend the night of this fourth day of the circuit.
On this fifth day of the circuit, we will discover other fascinating monuments of ancient Thebes, after having breakfast at the hotel and checking out. Specifically those located in the western area of Luxor, for which it will be necessary to cross the sacred waters of the Nile, a journey that was also symbolically made by the inhabitants of Ancient Egypt after death.
That is why in this area are the necropolis and funerary temples most important of that great city. We will organize a car route to reach these places, among which the Valley of the Kings stands out above all, where the main pharaohs of the New Kingdom excavated their sumptuous tombs. It will also be worth traveling to Deir el Bahari, where we will visit the funerary temple of Queen Hatshepsut, located at the foot of a spectacular ravine. And the Colossi of Memnon are the main vestige of what was another great funerary temple: that of Amenhotep III.
After a morning full of visits, we will travel to Hurghada in a private vehicle, with lunch en route and arrival scheduled for the afternoon. Once at the hotel, you will check in and you can start enjoying its services, as everything is included, both on this first night and on the remaining two.
After a circuit full of cultural visits in Cairo and Luxor, Hurghada will offer you the final rest that your trip deserves. In the hotel resort where you will stay you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner at your own pace, enjoy a relaxing swim in the pool or go to the numerous and nearby beaches of the city.
Hurghada, located in the Red Sea, is one of the most important holiday destinations for sun and beach tourism, since temperatures are warm throughout the year. Its main attraction is water activities, especially diving and snorkeling, very popular thanks to the fact that the underwater wealth of this sea is extraordinary, with species of all sizes and colors. This can be enjoyed without moving too far from the shore, but also on board boats to go to the best diving areas.
Another interesting option for the program of this day is the safari through the desert, in 4×4 vehicles and quads with which to experience the adrenaline of speed on the sand. In this environment, meditation sessions and even cultural encounters with the Bedouin population are organized in which to learn about their gastronomy and traditions.
The seventh day will be the second free day at the Hurghada hotel resort. Therefore, you can take advantage to continue enjoying rest and relaxation in the pool and beaches of the place, or you can schedule activities such as those mentioned in the previous day. Again, all meals are included, from morning to night, since you will also sleep in this spectacular accommodation at the end of the day.
The eighth is the last day of this circuit through Egypt. And until the last moment, you will enjoy the comfort and amenities of the Hurghada hotel resort, as breakfast is included and you will have the morning free, being able to check out until noon.
After that and at the agreed time, our staff will pick you up to transfer you to the airport of Hurghada, from where your plane will take off to Cairo to connect with the flight back home.
Therefore, it will be the moment of the affectionate farewell and to remember all the experiences lived in Cairo, Luxor and Hurghada, which we hope will remain in your memory for the rest of your life.
