Egipto Exclusivo has a varied catalog of tours, of different durations and with itineraries for all tastes. But without a doubt, this is one of the most complete: a tour of Egypt with an excursion to Alexandria and the other usual experiences on this type of trip, such as the Pyramids tour, a Nile cruise, and a few days of rest in the Red Sea. All this in two weeks of route, organized down to the last detail to make the most of each day. Take note of the itinerary and choose this proposal if you want to see the most significant monuments of Egypt and reserve some days for rest.
On this tour of Egypt, the excursion to Alexandria makes the difference. That difference will be expected, but it will be worth it: the visit to this incredible city bathed by the Mediterranean will take place at the end, as a golden epilogue to your trip, which will also take you to the Pyramids of Giza or the monuments of Upper Egypt (on a cruise), among other attractions. Therefore, this can be a good proposal not only for those interested in Egyptian civilization, but also for lovers of ancient culture in general, since Alexandria is a city of marked Greek influence.
In any case, throughout the tour you will have the opportunity to learn about the current Egyptian culture, which is manifested in the spectacular mosques of Cairo or in traditions that remain very much alive. And as if that were not enough, in these two weeks of travel there will also be time for the most absolute rest: specifically, in an all-inclusive resort bathed by the beaches of the Red Sea, in the city of Hurghada.
Egipto Exclusivo is a receptive travel agency specialized in customized and private trips throughout Egypt. We design your itinerary putting all our heart and knowledge into a destination, which we love and know in depth. We will take into account your tastes and preferences so that you can live a unique experience that you will never forget.

Upon arrival at Cairo airport, a representative of our agency will be waiting to welcome you and complete the final visa procedures. Afterwards, our private vehicle and driver will be ready to accommodate you on board and transfer you to the hotel for the first few days, in the center of Cairo.
Upon arrival at the hotel, you will check in and receive an informative briefing to answer any questions you may have about this tour of Egypt: is the excursion to Alexandria done in a single day? Does the Nile cruise include all meals? Is it possible to enter the Pyramids of Giza? These are some of the usual questions, but we will also give you advice on how to manage your free time, use the currency correctly, etc. Depending on the conclusion time of the briefing, you may have free time before going to your rooms to rest at the hotel.
After the formalities of the day of arrival, it is time to start filling the backpack with experiences. And the first of them is one of the most memorable: visiting the necropolis of Giza, with its famous Pyramids. To do this, you will recharge your energy with a rich breakfast and then we will transfer you to this incomparable archaeological site.
With the help of our professional guide, we will learn all the details that made such a feat possible: building these pyramids that are still standing 4,500 years later. Their promoters were the pharaohs of the IV dynasty, Cheops, Khafre and Menkaure. They wanted to install their tombs here to achieve eternal life in the Afterlife… and they managed to pass into posterity thanks to it. Currently, they are open to visitors and, if desired, you can enter inside to discover its structure and feel its solemnity. In addition, the Great Sphinx acts as guardian, with its imposing silhouette half lion and half pharaoh. In this necropolis of Giza there are other spaces that are worth discovering, and we will do so, in addition to taking all the necessary photographs to immortalize this moment.
Next to the Pyramids is the best possible complement: the Grand Egyptian Museum of Giza, which we will visit thoroughly to admire and better understand the greatness of the pharaonic civilization. Sarcophagi and funerary trousseaus such as that of Tutankhamun, imposing sculptures such as that of Ramses II or transcendental documents such as the Stele of Restoration are some of the key pieces of the collection, which totals almost 20,000 on display.
After visiting Giza and the GEM, or at the time you prefer, we will go to a local restaurant for lunch. And after that, in the afternoon, we will return to Cairo in our vehicle, to leave you at the hotel or in the desired place in the city.
Third day of the tour and third day in the capital, Cairo. But on this occasion, we will visit it thoroughly, accompanied by our expert guide and dedicating the entire day to the tour. That will be after having breakfast at the hotel, which will give you energy for the first part of the day.
We will start this third day of the tour by visiting the Citadel of Saladin, ordered to be built by him in the 12th century. What this fortified enclosure houses today are later monuments, both civil and religious. Among all of them, the ” stands out. Mosque of Alabaster: despite being consecrated to Islamic worship, it is open to the visit of any tourist, even of other religions. The richness of materials and the refined decoration will leave us speechless, especially in the prayer room and the tomb of Mehmet Ali.
After this essential visit, we will go to Islamic Quarter: this is the area created at the time of the founding of the city, after the Arab conquest. Therefore, the concentration of historical mosques is very high here, a trend that continued in later centuries until today. And all of them have a monumental architecture that leaves no one indifferent. In addition, we will include in the tour the visit of the great bazaar Jan el-Jalili, full of local craft stalls where leather goods, wood, goldsmithing… and much more are sold.
Already in the afternoon, we will take the opportunity to visit the Coptic Quarter, which concentrates the main Christian monuments of Cairo… and there are many. Not in vain, the Holy Family took refuge here for a while: it was during the period known as the Flight to Egypt, which brought the Virgin, Saint Joseph and the Child Jesus to these lands. Among the most outstanding temples are the church of San Jorge. And not far away, the church of the Cave will leave us speechless for its location inside a huge natural grotto.
As you can see, this day is one of the most intense of this entire tour of Egypt: neither the excursion to Alexandria on the penultimate day nor the stages of the cruise have such a loaded program, so this third night at the hotel will offer a well-deserved rest.
After three days of maximum interest in Cairo and Giza, it is time to change scenery and continue our tour through other regions of Egypt. In this case, through Upper Egypt. Therefore, after breakfast and check-out, our driver will pick you up for the transfer to the capital’s airport, from where your plane will depart to Aswan.
At the airport of that city, another representative of our agency will be waiting for you for a very special transfer: the visit to the temple of Isis in Philae, an island in the Nile River to which this construction from the times of Pharaoh Nectanebo I (XXX dynasty) was moved, stone by stone. The mixture of Egyptian architecture and native vegetation give the place a unique charm, to which will be added the explanations of our guide to understand its full meaning.
After the visit to the temple of Isis, mother goddess in the Egyptian religion, we will depart to Aswan to check in on the cruise that will sail the waters of the Nile in the coming days and that will be your second home, with all meals included. On this day it will remain moored in port but that will not prevent us from providing you with dinner and rest for this night. Until that moment, you will have free time to take a walk through the city of Aswan, which preserves interesting corners related to Nubian culture or its famous quarries, exploited in the times of Ancient Egypt.
On this tour of Egypt, the excursion to Alexandria is not the only one contemplated in the program. This fifth day includes one of half a day: the visit to the temples of Abu Simbel. As they are several hours away by road, we will leave Aswan very early to make the most of the day. That will make the breakfast of this day in Breakfast Box format to take away.
In any case, the journey will be worth it, as Abu Simbel is one of the most grandiose monuments of all Ancient Egypt. It is inextricably associated with the figure of Ramses II, pharaoh of the XIX dynasty and, for many, the most powerful of all the monarchs of that civilization. He ordered these temples to be built as a sign of his power, as this was the border area between his possessions and those of the Nubian enemies of the south. And he did it at a key moment: after the battle of Qadesh (1274 BC) in which he defeated (or at least wanted to make it look like it) the Hittites. But Ramses II will not be the only protagonist of this visit: as our guide will tell us, Queen Nefertari also occupies a central place in the temples. Both characters are represented on a colossal scale in the sculptures of the facades. In addition, we will enter the interior of the temples, and that will allow us to better understand the ‘miracle’ of the conservation of these monuments, since in the 60s they had to be moved stone by stone to here, threatened by the waters of Lake Nasser.
At noon we will return to Aswan because upon arrival in this city the long-awaited cruise on the Nile will begin. In fact, lunch will be served on board to optimize times. And during the afternoon we will set foot on land again to make an essential visit: the temple of Kom Ombo, dedicated to the gods Haroeris and Sobek. The latter will be the one that will cause the most astonishment: he was the divinity of fertility and was assimilated to the crocodile. Therefore, this animal is so represented in the temple and also in the museum located next to it: it is the Crocodile Museum, where, among many other things, crocodile mummies that were used as ex-votos are exhibited.
After visiting both spaces, we will return to the cruise to continue sailing in this final stretch of the day. Therefore, it will be time to have dinner on board and moor in the port of Edfu to rest during the night.
On this sixth day of the tour, navigation continues. And so do the cultural visits. After having breakfast on board the cruise, it is the turn of the temple of Edfu, which surprises all its visitors with its large dimensions: it is the second largest in the country, only behind the Karnak enclosure… which we will also visit at the end of this day. In the case of the temple of Edfu, it is a construction built already in Greco-Roman times, but maintaining the style and spirituality of the classical times of Ancient Egypt. It is dedicated mainly to the god Horus, of hunting and war, protector of the pharaohs. That’s why you’ll find sculptures and reliefs of this animal throughout the temple. With the help of our guide, we will pay attention to all the details and rooms, with special mention to the Boat Room, which houses a boat used at the time for a river procession to Dendera, which we will remember later in this same circuit.
Back on the cruise, our boat will continue the route downstream, while you contemplate the riverside landscape of this section. At one point of the journey, it will be necessary to cross the Esna lock, a fundamental infrastructure because it allows to regulate the flow of the river so that boats like ours can navigate all year round. Once this point is overcome, Luxor will be very close.
Already in the afternoon, we will arrive in Luxor and, without wasting time, we will start the visits of its eastern shore. Let us remember that Luxor was built in Arab times on the ruins of ancient Thebes, one of the most lavish cities in pharaonic times, as in fact it was the capital during the times of the Middle Kingdom and the New Kingdom, mainly. The monuments that we will visit at this time are the temples of Luxor and Karnak, great places of worship and center of power for the Clergy of Amun. In the first of them, its great entrance pylon and its obelisk stand out, ‘pair’ of the one installed in the Place de la Concorde in Paris. In the second, its Great Hypostyle Hall and its colossal sculptures are impressive. Between both, the Avenue of the Sphinxes, which at the time housed the procession of the Opet festival, and still today continues to captivate with its solemnity.
After the visit to these sacred places of Eastern Thebes, we will return to the cruise, which will wait for you moored in the port to offer you dinner and rest for this night, the last one in which you will sleep on board.
The city of Luxor has so many places of interest that it would be impossible to see them all in one day… not even in two. Therefore, this second day in the city is a continuation of the visits of the previous day and will continue, in turn, two days later. On this seventh day of the tour, we will immerse ourselves in the mystical world of the Afterlife, present on the western shore, as here are the great tombs and funerary monuments that were built when Thebes was the capital.
Therefore, after breakfast on board the cruise, we will cross the sacred waters of the Nile River and take a road route to visit with our guide the most important, especially three spaces. Firstly, the Valley of the Kings, named as such because the pharaohs of the 18th, 19th, and 20th dynasties primarily had their tombs excavated here. They profusely decorated the interiors and arranged a rich funerary trousseau so that they would lack nothing in the afterlife. Secondly, the temple of the pharaoh queen Hatshepsut, in the area known as Deir el Bahari: it is located at the foot of a spectacular ravine and was the subject of a major reconstruction in the 20th century in order to admire its original elements. And thirdly, the Colossi of Memnon, two enormous sculptures that were part of the funerary temple of Amenhotep III.
During this route, we will dedicate the necessary time to lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon, back in the center of Luxor, we will take the suitcases to the hotel and check in, as that will be your accommodation for this night and the following two.
As we saw on the fifth day, on this tour of Egypt, the Alexandria excursion is not the only one contemplated in the program. In fact, this eighth day also has this consideration: it is a road trip from Luxor to visit, on the same day, two temples of enormous importance and beauty: the Dendera and Abydos temples. We will set out to discover them after breakfast at the hotel, with our energies fully charged.
The first temple that will come our way is that of Dendera, on the banks of the Nile. The fluvial procession we mentioned in the visit to the temple of Edfu reached here: with it, Horus met Hathor, his mother and partner, goddess of love and music. This was her main place of worship and many details in the enclosure refer to her, such as the spectacular Hathoric columns. The remains of polychromy are very special, which will allow us to imagine how the temples of Ancient Egypt were really decorated. No less interesting is the Zodiac of Dendera, which demonstrates the advanced knowledge of astronomy in that society. Thanks to the explanations of our guide, we will perfectly understand its full meaning.
The next sacred precinct had even greater importance in that religion: the temple of Abydos, center of the cult of Osiris, god of the afterlife and resurrection. For this reason, it was the object of a famous pilgrimage by its believers, who sought with it his favor for life after death. Seti I, pharaoh of the 19th dynasty, also established his funerary temple here. In its reliefs, in addition, there is one of the most important royal lists to know the History of Ancient Egypt, so the visit will be full of small great details that will not be left in the inkwell thanks to our guide.
On this excursion, we will have lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we will return to Luxor, where you will have some free time at your disposal. Our suggestion is to take advantage of the extraordinary location of the hotel to see the sunset, on one of the most beautiful islands of the Nile: the moment is a real spectacle and will allow you to understand the symbolism that the inhabitants of Thebes attributed to the sunset.
One of the characteristics of this circuit is that we add a full day more to discover the attractions of Luxor. Unlike other proposals, with this tour you can discover three places that, unfortunately, are often overlooked due to lack of time: they are Medinet Habu, Deir el Medina, and the Valley of the Nobles. We will depart towards them by road after breakfast at the hotel
Medinet Habu is closely linked to Ramses III, its great promoter, who conceived it as a walled town of the highest level, with temples, administrative buildings and even a royal palace. Luckily for current visitors, it is in a very good state of conservation. Deir el Medina, on the other hand, does not preserve so many remains of constructions, but the numerous archaeological campaigns have collected valuable information about this place: it was the town where the artisans who worked in the tombs of the Valley of the Kings lived and, therefore, will allow us to know what life was like for the humblest layers of that society. Finally, in the Valley of the Nobles we will find tombs that, although smaller and more modest than those of the pharaohs, are surprising for their decorative richness.
After a morning full of visits, you will have the afternoon free. And at night, you will rest in the same hotel as the night before, with a wide catalog of services and facilities to spend the last hours of the day.
On this tour of Egypt, before the excursion to Alexandria, you will be lucky enough to enjoy a few days in the Red Sea. Specifically in the city of Hurghada, located a few hours by road from Luxor. Therefore, after breakfast at the hotel, our driver will pick you up and transfer you in a private and comfortable vehicle to this other coastal city.
In Hurghada you will check in upon arrival and discover that your accommodation is a first-class hotel resort, equipped with the best services and facilities. In addition, all meals are included, both on this first day and on the following.
The eleventh day is, for sure, one of the most anticipated of this circuit. At least for those who, in addition to sightseeing, seek rest and relaxation on their trips. In this case, it is a completely free day that you can organize in your own way and at your own pace. The easiest and most tempting thing is to go to the beach, since the Red Sea has everything to make its bathers fall in love: crystal clear and warm waters, always pleasant ambient temperature, fine sand…
However, it is also possible to carry out very varied activities. For example, snorkeling and diving, since there are immersion areas for all levels, where the variety of species is enormous and easy to spot. It is also possible to take a safari through the desert, an adventure experience that is usually done in 4×4 or quad, with the possibility of doing a meditation session, organizing a meeting with the Bedouin population or contemplating the sunset or the stars.
Your stay in Hurghada ends this day, but not yet the tour of Egypt: the excursion to Alexandria is the next and last experience in the program. And precisely for this reason you will take a flight to Cairo throughout the day. Breakfast at the hotel resort is included and, at the agreed time after check-out, our driver will transfer you to the airport to take this domestic flight.
In Cairo, another representative of our agency will be waiting for you to greet you and transfer you to the hotel in this city, where you will sleep after enjoying the free afternoon in the Egyptian capital. It is, therefore, a propitious moment to go shopping or make a visit that has been pending in the first days of this tour of Egypt. The excursion to Alexandria, on the other hand, will take place the next day, from the morning.
If you have chosen this tour of Egypt for the excursion to Alexandria, the long-awaited moment has arrived. After breakfast at the hotel, our driver will pick you up to start the road trip to this city on the Mediterranean coast, which we will reach in just two hours.
And as soon as we arrive, we will make the essential visits of any excursion to Alexandria. Among them, the catacombs of Kom el Shogafa, a historical and unique place in all the Egyptian geography, which demonstrates the strong Greco-Roman presence in this city founded by Alexander the Great. We will also visit the New Library, which will give us a clue to remember what the old Library was like, destroyed centuries ago. And we cannot overlook the fortress of Qaitbay, not only for its spectacular Arab military construction of the 15th century, but also because it was built on the foundations of the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria, considered at the time one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
This excursion to Alexandria includes lunch in a local restaurant. And in the afternoon we will return by road to Cairo to face the last night of this circuit.
On this tour of Egypt, the excursion to Alexandria is the last tourist experience. Therefore, after breakfast at the hotel, this trip comes to an end on this fourteenth day. At the agreed time, our driver will pick you up punctually to make the transfer to the airport of Cairo. And from there the plane that will take you back home will take off.
Therefore, it will be the moment of farewell but also of gratitude for having chosen us for a trip of this type. And we will maintain the hope of a new reunion to carry out another different circuit through Egyptian territory: the oases of the Western Desert, the attractions of the Sinai Peninsula, etc.
These are the services that are included in the package and will allow you to enjoy the trip with maximum comfort:
In this extensive circuit with two oases, Egipto Exclusivo does not include the following services:
